Signing up for a Buying Manager account

When you first access the Buying Manager site, you will be on the Home page.
Before you can begin using Buying Manager, you will need to create an account
by signing up.
Select the Sign Up tab by clicking on it. This brings up a sign
up form.
On the Sign Up form, you will need to enter your eBay username and password,
contact information and some initial preferences. We will also ask you to agree
to our Terms of Service and to let us know how you found out about Buying
Manager.

Step 1. Login Information
Please enter the following info:

Your email address
- This must be a valid email address but does not have to be the same email
address on your eBay account.

Your password. This password is just for your Buying
Manager account and does not need to match your eBay password.

Retype the password to confirm
We also ask that you let us know how you found out about Buying Manager. If you
give the ID of a current account holder who referred you, we will appreciate
it.
In order to complete the Sign Up process you will need to agree to the Terms of
Service.

Click on the link provided to read the complete Terms of Service
document.

Click on the checkbox to signify agreement.
When you’ve agreed to the Terms of Service and the required information is
complete, click on the Next Step button to move to Step 2.
Step 2. eBay Account Info
Your Buying Manager account is closely associated with your eBay account. In
order to get information about and from your eBay account, eBay requires third
party sites, like Buying Manager, to use a secure token. That way we only store
the token to your eBay account in our database, not your actual eBay account
information.

By clicking on the Generate My eBay Token button, you initiate
this process now.
Step 3. Preferences
In the Contact Information form you can specify your
email address, physical address, and time zone. By default these fields will
have information from your eBay account. If you would like to change any of
this info you can do so now. The physical address you enter will be used as the
billing address for you Buyer Manager account and will be added as your default
shipping address. Also note, the email address you use for your Buyer
Manager account does not necessarily need to be the same as the email address
you use for eBay.
In the Email Settings form you can customize the way you are
notified of events through email by clicking on the check box next to the
option you would like to enable or disable. Also, you can choose to receive
notifications at a mobile email address. If you choose this option you will
need to specify a mobile email address in the provided field. Please use the
following format to provide cell phone/pager numbers: 555-555-5555@domain.com
In the Other Preferences form you can choose if you want
to view thumbnails with your searches and if you want to use InstaMail.
To finish the Sign Up process, click on the Sign Up Now button
at the bottom of the page.
